Job Description
Our client in Salem is seeking an experienced Design Engineer who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
The Engineers are responsible for design engineering, drafting and modeling, production engineering, and project management activities. Ideal candidates possess a moderate degree of business awareness along with a passion for the engineering discipline. They offer a unique working environment that allows a hands-on engineering professional to develop and grow as they execute on projects in a fast pasted and ever-changing environment.
Pay
- $33.00 - $41.00/hour ($70k to $85k annually)
Shift
- 1st Shift Monday - Friday
- 8:00am to 5:00pm OR 7:00am to 4:00pm
Responsibilities
- This position requires the ability to understand the technical requirements of our customers and to implement engineering solutions to meet these demands
- Reviews and executes product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, and customer requirements
- Ability to reverse engineer legacy in house technology as well as comparable industry products to trouble shoot issues and consider design enhancements as well as expand our product portfolio.
- Coordination of first of a kind design and qualification activities for new product initiatives
- Development of new designs complementary to the client's existing portfolio.
Job Requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution
- 3-5+ years of valve design or related industry experience
- Must be able to communicate effectively in writing, by phone and face-to-face
- Knowledge of military specifications associated with valve design for naval applications or other defense related applications strongly preferred
