Job Description



Our healthcare client in Uniontown is looking for a Full Cycle Medical Biller to join their team! 


Shift
1st Shift Monday - Friday, 7:30am-4pm


Pay 
$16-$18/hour BOE


Responsibilities
  • Electronic billing
  • Posting payments and adjustments
  • Speaking with clients regarding their statements
  • Filing appeals
  • Refunds
  • Soft collections
  • Patient Demographics
  • Insurance (Primary, Secondary, Tertiary, Auto Accident, Workers Compensation)
  • Understanding of Insurance Company rules (each insurance plan may require authorizations, primary vs. secondary, etc.)
  • Charges
  • Understanding of diagnosis and procedures coding, modifiers (ICD10 / CPT)
  • Electronic Claims Submissions (Primary and Secondary)
  • Denial Management
  • Posting Insurance and Patient Payments
  • Aged Accounts (investigate, fix, resubmit)
  • Answer Patient Balance questions

Job Requirements

Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years' previous experience in a medical billing position.
  • Problem-solving skills to research and resolve discrepancies, denials, appeals, collections.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology.
  • Our staff also interacts consistently via email/phone with all levels of staffing internally and with the medical practices (MD to the front desk).  Candidate would need professional verbal and written communication.
  • Must be up to date with Diagnosis ICD10 or Service level CPT coding.
  • Must have recent experience with charge entry and payment posting.
