Our client in Salem is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join their team!

Shift
  • 1st Shift Monday - Friday, Approx 8:00am to 5:00pm


Pay 
  • $15.00 - $20.00/hr


Responsibilities
  • Creating long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines
  • Delegating tasks on the project to employees best positioned to complete them
  • Making effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress with the project
  • Serving as a point of contact for teams when multiple units are assigned to the same project to ensure team actions remain in synergy
  • Communicating with executives or the board to keep the project aligned with their goals
  • Performing quality control on the project throughout development to maintain the standards expected
  • Adjusting schedules and targets on the project as needs or financing for the project change


Job Requirements

Requirements
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to complete projects on time and on budget 
  • Ability to work independently and oversee the work of others 
  • Strong Sales and negotiation skills 
  • Ability and interest to participate in continuous improvement and sharing 
  • Understanding of the shop work 
  • Detail oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills 
  • Strategic planning with business sense, understanding of customer market 
  • General knowledge of steel and/or furnace industry
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Computer proficiency: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint 
  • Must be able to effectively read and understand engineering drawings 
  • 25% international and domestic travel may be required
